Danish private-rental guide
How to prepare the timeline and evidence for a Danish deposit dispute
Start with a chronology, not an accusation. Separate what happened at move-in, move-out, report delivery and the landlord's claim. Match each statement to a document and keep questions outside the automated tool's scope clearly marked.
Build one verified timeline
List the move-in date, inspections, report delivery, termination, actual move-out, landlord awareness, move-out inspection and claim communication. Use the date visible in the document and note uncertainty instead of filling gaps.
Create a document index
Number the lease, reports, emails, messages, photos, invoices and deposit account. For each timeline entry, point to the supporting document. Keep original files and metadata rather than only screenshots where possible.
Separate procedural and evidence questions
The self-check can calculate defined § 90 and § 187 procedure. Repair price, ordinary wear, causation, authenticity, settlement terms and other law require separate assessment. A clear boundary makes the final request more credible.
